Aviat Networks takes latest solutions to Wafritel

The overall value of the wireless backhaul market has been further improved going by the activities of Aviat Networks, the global wireless expert in advanced IP network migration, at the recently concluded West African Telecommunication exhibition and conferences (Wafritel) held recently in Lagos.
The company, which is making its first appearance in a marketing event in Nigeria since its name change from Harris Stratex, showcased its range of wireless next-generation solutions in the three-day event.
It was also an avenue to introduce its new brand identity to potential and existing customers of the company in the West African telecommunication industry. While showcasing their range of solutions to visitors at the company’s booth, Territory Manager and leader of the exhibition delegation for Aviat Networks, Mr. Olabode Sowunmi explained that the company is at the expo to interact with their customers, announce latest technological advancements as well as showcase improvements.
Of the greatest interest with the visitors to the stand turned out to be the award-winning Eclipse™ Packet Node wireless backhaul solution with its enhanced cell site gateway functionalities for mobile operators seeking innovative and integrated solutions. Additionally, the event offered the industry the opportunity to appreciate the new brand identity of the company up-close. Said a visitor Osunkeye Mattews, a telecoms engineer: “It is reassuring to see the new image of a relable old-timer. I’m impressed with the efforts of Aviat networks in its new identity”.
